seems like everyone i know is desperately looking for a job.

isn't it better to attend classes to enrich yourselves?

I'm wondering what kind of classes i should attend considering the fact that we actually only have more or less about 1 to 2 months of official break before we get out results and start to panic (:

I'd love to pick up piano lessons again (: haven't been in touch with my piano for a long time and i really missed those times when i could actually play a decent tune.



even though i actually hated the instrument as a kid. Ok, not really, it's more like i got sick of it.

when i was younger i had LOADS of activities lined up ranging from swimming lessons to piano lessons despite the fact that i actually enjoyed the lessons ,the time that was taken up from my life was really irritating.


in the past there was definately something lined up for me everyday be it tuition or enrichment lessons. at times i had to wake up as early as 7am to attend lessons in Novena at 8.

so yea even though the lessons were great fun, the process of getting to that class was a pain in the butt.

terribly.





but now that i'm 16 i actually missed and really appreciate my parents effort to send me to all these different classes , cause it's only when you're a kid do the teachers make the effort to make the lessons fun.

oh like when i was in Lorna Whiston in primary 3 my british teacher celebrated our last day in the study center with bakery and a movie screening of the Original charlie and the chocolate factory which was way cool (: *love the retro effect :D*



but there's this one class i'll never forget.



PAT'S SCHOOL HOUSE (:

i had the best time of my life there. i mean like DUH. it's kindergarden and most of us would have fun in kindergarden or was it nursery? i'll have to ask my mom abou that cause honestly , i can't really remember.

BUT the lessons were really fun! there were arts and crafts lessons where you could play with all kinda funny materials to create a potrait and on father's day we were taught to create a tie with this gauze looking material and pasted cloth of different paterns and texture to create a tie. *which my dad still keeps even though he would most likely be unable to wear it*



oh and in one of the lessons it was all about trains and we took a train ride to malaysia and had macdonals on board (: that was really fun and definately memorable.

and they use to have this HUGE TURTLE like really it was half my height when i was there.


ahh all the good ol' days.

talkin about animals, when i was in the ol' NAFA building when i was younger it was situated at this small hill around the istana and they had this small little farm with all kinda animals such as rabbits, fishes, chicken, ducks and a big fat turkey. yes you heard me right TURKEY! (: it was so freaking cute but honestly i have no idea where the turket is after NAFA relocated to bencoleen street, maybe they had it for christmas

it's kinda odd without something to do and yeah.. it's odd
but still recently I've had quite a number of events so let me list out the most exciting one first
one that's related to food:D


A WEDDING! and it was held at Goodwood Park Hotel
and i can't deny it's one of the best weddings i have ever been to :D

the reception was held at the poolside which was really classy and the people there were all really well dressed, which made the even look even better.

and i love the dress my aunt wore for her wedding! the dress was absolutely stunning (:
it was a laced up Cheong-Sam with pearly accessories and adorned with a feathered head piece!

which was definately cute

ohohohoh! and the best part of the reception!
i found my new love.














thats right! i FOUND MY ONE * out of the many * TRUE LOVE!
my one and only Stella Artois
the beer was really good and super smooth and i was absolutely ARGH! SEXY!
for all you people out there who have been drowning yourselves in Carlsberg, ABC or what-so-ever. it's finally time for change!

you , yes you every single one of you there should try Stella Artois (:

unless you are muslim , vegetarian or what-so-ever.


when it was time for the dinner i was truly shocked with the arangement .
we were welcomed into this HUGE BALLROOM with only 2 rows of table like the movie 'KING AND I' which was a real stunner and the hotel really know how to make you feel like a king , by labeling the seats with your name.

when i started browsing down the menu i'm sure you would feel the way i felt reeeallly happy *smirks*.


MORE ALCOHOL!
i'm usually not such a big fan of alcohol but i'm madly in love with vodka and the so happen to serve it there too! :D:D:D


not only was there vodka but also white/red wine of a certain standard, whisky, assorted soft drinks and trust me there was no restrictions.

unlike some restruants who would tell you things like :

"oh i'm so sorry we don't serve ice lemon tea here."

or worse

"don't have!"

but whatever the reason is Goodwood park is defiantely one of the hotels with quality service(:

and the doorgift is notonly practical but tasty(:

the hearts of musical workshop is driving me nuts, there seem to be some problem with the allocation of funds and this is also happening to the korea trip and to add on to that i might not even get a ticket to get myself on the plane!

i know this might look really confusing, that is becasue i am really just rambling about all the problems i have.

the tumbler i bought from starbucks needs to be changed to because it's faulty and ARGHHHHHHH. this is effing* confusing and i'm stressed out.

i mean like it's kinda cool and most people out there actually understand and speak in Malay.

*even though there are some impostors out there who ACT as though they were born with the language but fails miserably.


anyway i'm still trying to slim down. and trust me it's not that bad.
(but it's not the easiest thing to do either)

i know, it has been a long time since i blogged and I'm kinda vexed over the O's with only 1 more week and I've got to complete my Art O's paper 2 really soon.
i don't really have much to say but yesterday while on the way to do some art research, i came face to face with a..

two of them in fact and they are both adopted by a kind lady
and the dogs are damm lucky, when i asked the lady what the dogs ate , she replied:

" they don't take dog food. i cook for them everyday. "

BEAT THAT,
i think not many of us get to enjoy home cooked food.

and they get walks in the park everyday.
as long as it doesn't rain.
and the brow lil' dog *her name is mei mei* was so adorable!
after petting her for a few times she became so close to be and started to crawl into my arms :D
AND SHEN SHE SAW MY CAMERA BAG.
she attempted to walk into it.


THAT IS THE FIRST TIME I SEE A DOG DO THAT.
can you imagine. you see a dog pet it and poof! .
in it goes into your bag, and TADA! the dog is now yours.

i just helped to bury a cat that was knocked down by a car in my backyard.
it was my maid who saw the cat at the road and she called my over to help her with the burial.
she said that according to her religion, if you help a cat, the cat will help you in your after life.

but regardless of how the cat is going to repay my maid and i, I'm sure it doesn't matter.
I'm just glad the cat is not in the incinerator.

and as for the driver.I'm sure he didn't mean for the cat to be hurt.

lord help the cat with his/her way to heaven.

woke up slightly later to find myself nearly late for the event :p

don't worry, i made it there in one piece. (: in the end less than 20 people from my class turned up.

for the Cross country i represented my class together with 9 other girls from my class and took part in the treasure hunt!

*yes, girls. that's because out of 31 students in my class we only have 7 boys.



anyway we emerged 4th, which was not that bad, and we even did some stuff which i never thought i would do, like say : WE LOVE MRS WONG.

yes i know *yuck



but it's definitely not as bad as: WE LOVE MRS MANNING!

if i did that pigs would fly, or should i say, Mrs manning would fly!

it's true .she's a p**.



after the treasure hunt we went for the mini concert , initially it was alright ,

there was chitmin together with haron beat boxing, followed by Jessica singing with Mr yeo..



but all good things have to come to an end.

and that is when disaster stepped in. THE BANDS!



HORROR, HORROR!

it was so bad that Camilla, bibiana and i took our earphones and headphones and chose to listen to the original version of the songs instead.



and whoooops.

i was like. WTF!

but it was too late , it's all on film.



initially the whole thing was supposed to end at 10am HOWEVER, the school kinda imposed FLEXI-TIME and it ended at 11am.



and to make things so much worse the secondary 4 cohort had to walk back to school to collect their report books. OH MY GOODNESS! LOOK AT THE TIME.



and Mr Anba called me over to collect litter and i was already so darn pissed and so i gave him that WHAT THE F*** look , and guess what he told me.

back to the topic, i did some shopping recently!
and i was shopping for some art materials. :D

and i bought these:

a new set of 12 markers! (they work like copic markers but they are not copic markers.)
some bottle of new acrylic paints ( most of them were for Ingah)
palette for acrylic paints
canvas

and they were all so freaking cheap!
especially the markers, it retails at $5.00 ++ !
but i get a super good deal! :D

shan't mention the price before someone out there things that i pluck money outta the trees

THE ACJC CONCERT!

for all of those who attended, I'm sure you found the concert insightful

and if you were one of those who attended singout for the past few years and fell in love with Marcus, i must say you missed out on yet another good opportunity to meet Marcus(:

or well, at least see Marcus in action :d



'' everyone was kung fu fighting, HUA!''

i went to the cinemas and watched the much raved about KUNG FU PANDA!
and it was hilarious and heartwarming. ilove pandas!

and it actually taught me to believe in myself.
if you believe you're special. you will be special!

and for those who watched the movie this is something I'm sure most of you missed,
throughout the credits some of the problems in the movies are solved!

the vase which Po knocked over was repaired by the duck ( i have no idea what is the name of the duck)

and the tiger tried the noodles Po made. :D
oh and he had this moustache which Po had earlier (which was actually the noodles)

and the seed which was planted by master *wu gui started to grow later at the end of the credits. (:

and as usual at the end when the credits ended Po finished his dumplings first and attempted to eat his shifu's dumplings. outcome? they didn't show.

I MADE IT.
i recently went to the Victoria Junior College DSA and it was really kinda tough :p
with good intentions my parents woke up extra early to send me over so that i would be able to get there in one piece

after i got out of the car and after waving goodbye to my parents i started to look for the holding room only to realise it was the wrong campus.

i mean like yea. it was indeed Victoria , and yes. it's Victoria school but not VJC!
and so i had to call Linette and guess what her reply was.


Linette: huh! i thought everyone knew where vjc was!

... duh! she lives in Marine Parade and where do i stay in?
Hougang.

and i haven't been there ever since primary 5 and i always took a cab to and fro when i was younger, cause the route around there have always been rather confusing. :x

when i reached the school i was rather surprised to find ying yan, kwek jin, Gladys and sisca
and so we started practicing and i realised that they had a number to follow
so i approached one of the student representatives and they asked for my name and all and they said:

OH you're shannon!
lucky no. 100 .

my jaw kinda dropped..
100. and how long would that be?
hmmm. about an hour?


fainted
waited and wet for the auditions and undergo-ed the interview.
fortunately- i survived


and with a reason to smile
iMADE IT INTO THE SECOND ROUND!

from 100+ hopefuls I'm in the top 20!
and even if i dint make it I'm Glad to say at least I've tried.

and i was the only one from the group who made it
ying yan was panicking like mad
and started calling me yesterday to say that she recived an e-mail which told her that she didn't make it and wanted me to check my e-mail. and i found nothing in my e-mail folder. for once i thought the audtions and everything was a dream and i didn't attend it.

moral of this story.
NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS! (: heh.

nope. i'm not getting my bed yet.
but i've git my bed AREADY(:

yesterday, as a matter of fact.

and I'm very happy with the bed!
i think there use to be an advert on the television about this grom who missed his wedding because he was in contact with a really comfortable bed and went to sleep immediately!

it's just that i'm not about to be married.

apparently I've just woken up from a really long afternoon nap.
or well, i thought it was suppose to be a nap but turned into a 2 hours sleep that turned into somewhat a nightmare.

i failed my second part of the paper because i spent way too much time in the first paper
RAHHH grr.
so my final grade for lit is a fcuking high B4
and i am freaking upset.
but hey lets look at the bright side of this, at least i got this paper back only after my S.S paper.
if i've got it back BEFORE my S.S paper i would have decided to give up my S.S paper altogether, all i can wish for now is that i do well for my social studies paper and .. yea do well maybe on the whole for my elective.

and i went for a rather intense literature workshop today.
A GOOD WORKSHOP , but relatively stressful , blame the class for being noisy and the school for providing a lousy location called the library and we had to sit on the floors.
from 10-5:30 OMG. it's nearly one whole freaking day!

never mind forget about the silly stuff.

well at least it's a piece of good news for me(:
my room is finally renovated and to the atmosphere i like all nice and comfy.

or on my way to school in the bus.

and i started praying for a easy paper, that i would remember everything I've attempted to memorise(: not the best i could do but... yeah.

so on my way to school i TRIED as hard as i could to revise myself on the formats and everything else. of course i was distracted by TV mobile after seeing JJLin on CNA.

at first when i started doing paper one i was like:
OMFG this is super easy!

but as i started on my paper i was like ... I'm really confused.
after paper1 i felt as though all hope was lost, then i told myself this :

if i don't do well for paper 1 i have to strive hard for my paper 2
which is defiantly not my forte.

but.
WAH HENG AR.
it was freaking easy.

but I'm kinda worried
easy paper = strict marking.

i do hope i secure my A2.

i just went for the Hillsong concert yesterday! (: just when i thought that i can't make it.

i called Denise (my cell group leader) and she told me there were tickets!
i was like: HENG AR!
anyway you guys will get to know more about it later with the photos.
the concert was not as fab as i thought it would be. could be the crowd i was with :(
not very enthusiastic. camp was much better. :D

wynne told me that i should go over to the salon at 10 when it's just opened for business on weekdays; unlikely.

and for the first time someone cuts a hairstyle that i can style(:
but since my hair is getting longer, it's kinda difficult to style it again ;(

i am really desperate to lose those extra fat all around my body.
I FEEL SO FREAKING IRRITATED!

yea i get the point but is there a simpler alternative?

if you do say that, I'm flattered, but i choose not to live in denial.

honestly this post is not meant to insult anyone else who is much more horizontally challenged than i am.
I'm just trying to look for people to either slim down with me or help me slim down. (:
and maybe at the same time try to fit into clothes and will compliment my soon-to-be good looking figure (which might take forever).

and i will only start a shopping spree if i finally get the ideal body size..

after class, i went around NAFA with Naomi hoping to get soem really good shots

crazy things have been happening lately :x
like MY IPOD CASING.

apparently i bought a new i pod casing, or should i say i bought 2 BRAND NEW ipod casing
one from Globe and the other from Volcom.

the one from globe is a PVC casing with a tape design at the back - it was a cheap but i bought it at the point of desperation.
it retails at $24 and i bought it at $8

sounds good right?
but ,NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

when i tried using it i had SO MUCH TROUBLE trying to use the wheel on the i pod
i was like trying to spin the wheel desperately hoping that it would at least react
and IT DID!

so i was feeling really upset and so the next day i went over to plaza singapura and went to Flash and Splash to get another casing , this time it's kinda leather textured AND it can spin the wheel EASILY without stretching or pulling anything, and so i bought it without thinking (as usual) paid $20 and when i went to school sandy said " it';s quite nice" :D
and i was really happy cause IT'S WORTH THE MONEY!

but no one else kinda noticed it so ...
but well at least it won't snap.(:

so there it goes!

oh yeah there is kind of a slight change with the ipod I'll be getting.
it seems like Song Brothers from Sim Lim SQ is selling the ipod classic 80GB at $330 usually retailing at $388.

the thing is that my friend (whom I'm not very close with) told me that she would be able to get the ipod at 30% off, she doesn't seem to be thrilled when i asked her if she could help me purchase the i pod.

if she really does help me purchase the ipod, I'LL SAVE $60!
that is a HUGE amount of money! i could even purchase a new sennheiser ear piece!
*drools*

but i'm prepared to get it from Song Brother anyway.


*tip: if you ever shop at Sim Lim NEVEREVER go any where else, because most of their service sucks and they are all out of con you into buy the product eg: i went in to one of the shop and it tol dme that they were selling it at $310 and

after going through thick and thin with me, my mini seems to have gone berserk besides having a shorter battery life and being able to hear only on the left side and being unable (or having a tough time) getting to synchronise it to the computer, it's perfectly fine(:

apparently I'm having a tough time deciding if i should purchase it straight form the online apple store, or from an authorised dealer, both having it's pros and cons.

purchasing from the apple store online would me that i would be able to purchase a (RED) product = supporting the movement for aids awareness and the best part is that I'll be able to engrave my name on the ipod (:

HOW COOL IS THAT!

and it's totally free.
HOWEVER..
i't will take about 1 week for me to get it as my mom would be purchasing it via cheque :(

although there isn't any engraving . etc
BUT they are willing to give me a screen protector ($15) if i purchase my i pod on spot which would also mean that i would be able to get my ipod in less than like ... 1 SECOND?

my best record for running round the school for 2 rounds which is around 1.8-2km?
is 8 min 10 sec

i ran continuously for 2 rounds thinking that i must have failed at the 3rd round i started walking which i actually had enough energy to run!

omg WHEN I GOT MY NEWS that i failed by 24secs i flipped.
if i did ran for the last round and walked for half of it...
I WOULD HAVE PASSED!


and the only word that i can thing of now is "DAMMIT"

the purpose of the artwork is to alert the community of Global Warming
i know you guys must have heard bout this to the extend that you aer practically bored with it however it's really a big woo ha

can you imagine living in Singapore with bad weather conditions all year round?
that would mean lesser shopping! and no more trips to the zoo or the park
which is definitely bad news

of course it would be good news to those couch potatoes out there
*shame on you*

but we should really be aware of how we are harming our environment and start taking preventive measures such as:

• the 3Rs ;reduce reuse recycle
• bring your own bags when shopping for grocery
• ask for paper bags if they have an alternative eg: IKEA
• so on and so forth

there have been quite alot of tests recently this week and I'm not really confident about doing well for my subjects, although it was a great relief to know that I've finally managed to pass my chemistry! WHOO'

HOWEVER.
I've scored an E8 for Chinese, and the news came to me as a shock
the main reason behind my E8 was my essays.
i can't understand why is it i keep writing off point
and I'm definitely super pissed. and heart broken. :(

but i'm going to work harder and FIND SOME TIME TO STUDY
i'm starting to miss those days in pre school at Pat's School House
it was so much fun when you can look at HUGE turtles and play in the play groud attend birthday parties and in short lead a carefree life.

for these past weeks there has relaly not been enough time and i have not been online for 10DAYS!
can you belive it.
and my e-mail started piling up like some letter box in the front of some old abandon house.
these days it has been

• SCHOOL
• REMEDIAL
• TUITON
• SLEEP

and back to school again i mean like HEY, i need my life back!

apparently it dosen't seem like it's come back to me any time soon :(

and i even NEARLY forgot my fathers birthday yesterday, and so to celebrate his birthday i left loads of notes from the front door to the master bed room and my mom was super jelous :)

and i even forgot that my BIRTHDAY IS IN 4 DAYS TIME *hints :D
at this point of time last year i would be practically counting down to my birthday
BUT, this year i nearly forgot all about it until some of my friends stated asking me :

RANTS.

I'M BACK FROM GENTING/MALAYSIA!
fortunately.

My trip to M'asia has been a rather fruitful one *thank god* have been bonding alot of with cousins and tried some really wild and wacky stuff suck as sky diving(: and cycling on the main road at night :D *SUPER FUN*


OK,
lets see,
on the very first day there i went to visit some of my dad's relateives. :P which was definately rather boring, there were NO ANGPOWS as the parents and relatives made a pact not to give angpows :BOO: but well, i'll still stand to gain anyway

*because i am the only child from my family, and my dad has to like give angpows to like 100+ ppl which is like OH MY GOSH, so if i don't get angpows =my dad don't give = me bigger angpow!*

and so = LESS MONEY FROM RELATIVES =more moenty from dad
*i hope*

so, on the second day of the new year we made a last minitue decision and headed off to genting(: it was a LOOOOONG ride up *sian* when we reached the top it felt cooling but definately warmer compared to the past , you could see people walking wround in short sleeves and singlets, some in skirts and pants *it's like in a huge air conditioned room.

ok, lets cut the crap.
i took the ride called sky venture and it ws a new experience. the ride is suppose to push you up into the air by wind and casue a flying effect.
honestly it's abit pain
and well.. not all that exciting
but on the overall.a good ride worth 50 rm.

afterwards i went over to get myself a original MR HAPPY t-shirt for 39.90 rm
CHEAP!
it was a cheap steal as i could no longer find this design in

Singapore , not even NUM.

ON THE OVERALL.
genting sucks, it's a cheap immitation of Las Vegas, Korea (Lotte Theme Park), blah
so yea, it sucks.

but if you have never been to any of those "spectacular" theme parks. well, Genting will do.
